I’m hoping I got what I needed.
So I went to two doctors on Monday. Both appointments were about the nerve pain and swelling I’ve been experiencing. First with my PCP, she prescribed gabapentin for nerve pain 🙄 I hate pharmisuticals, this one is fuckin with my stomach and my feet still burn when I lay down.
Thank God we talked to Dr. Mullner pain management doctor about my symptoms….he refferd me to a spine center, and said something a long the lines of, since the other doctor is handling that, I want you to see a spinal specialist, something about my case being complex, and wanting to cut to the core as he was saying this I wanted to kiss him! I told him thank you and we were on the same page.
I have an appointment on MAY 20th at a spinal care center. So back to waiting…..at least my sit bone doesn’t feel like it’s bout to rip through me.
Ok Nina, focus on the positive.
Dom and pops have both agreed to one gym day a week…. only problem, the grab bar is on the left side of the toilet. I need the bar on the right for it to be helpful. If one of the boys take me they won’t be able to go in the female locker room….. we’ll have to figure something out. After working out I know my legs will be mush and I won’t be able to independently transfer.
I’ll figure something out, or I’ll piss my self and/or fall. Que sera sera.
With basically no hip pain your girl has a new lease on life. I’m getting back to my bike routine: Monday Wednesday and Friday crosstrain for 30 minutes:

Today I rode 4.5 miles.
Tuesday and Thursday will be a 20 minut “ride in the park”

2.6 miles in 20 minutes on Tuesday.
And ma agreed to therapize me more hands on till I return to therapy.
I always come so close…..5 steps forward and 4 back🙄?
Happy thoughts! We’re taking Baby (our Jeep) to Daytona beach for a picnic this weekend.
The last time we tried to do a picnic on the beach we ended up staying a night at the beach.
This time we’ll head home by 4….last time we parked on the beach and Dom set up our lawn chairs and picnic stuff, then we walked to the spot, I’m pretty sure I was using my cane and wearing my pool shoes. Saturday I’ll probably have to wear my gladiator sandals and use Dom’s arm. And we’ll have a picnic blanket and umbrella. Oh and we’re going to try to walk in the ocean! In think no past the knees. Dom can’t swim. If I have my float I can?… kinda🤣
My sandles have been easier than my Crocs to put on , remember I’ve been dealing with swelling.

I’m thinking how about my gladiators? Gladiators used to walk through sand at the collusim, right? So, they’ll be good for the beach. Now watch me veni vidi venci.

Friday I’ll be busy packing the picnic, packing our beach bag and doing beach beauty prep you know shaving and painting my toe nails.
