10 months after I turned 18 I got in a car accident and sustained a physical debilitating brain injury.

I got Wonderland tatted on my affected thigh for my 18th disabled birthday.

I’m Alice, the green cheshire cat represents my TBI (traumatic brain injury, green is the TBI awareness color), the mad hatter is ma and the white rabbit is Anna (aka FreeBird https://adaywithnina.com/free-bird-for-my-free-bird/).

Nina in wonderland pays homage to the first ten years of my TBI life and the “tea parties” I had with the ladies who helped me find my way through Wonderland…..
