After having my left ankle fused, and getting “solid as a rock”* clearance I got “high” heeled boots.

Right Summer Boots
The heel on the left are those boots.
Walking with heels makes me bend my left knee, so I take a proper step and my foot lands on the heel and it rolls to the toe, opposed to wearing sneakers and my left leg stays straight and I can be careless and drag my left foot.
*= Dr. Langford, surgeon who fused leftie said at this point your bones are stronger than the hardware.
