Memorial Day Weekend  3 weekends post-op

Friday night is ordanarly pizza night,  this Friday, we were planning a tacco night.  Publix had taco kits and we thought this could be fun.  So we made sure we had all the supplies,  but didn’t we forget to take the meat out of the freezer till Friday.

So, no surprise, we ended up ordering a pizza from Pizza Hut- meat lovers parmesan sauce, stuffed crust. Upside still has the cash back offer. After work, Dom will pick up the pizza, papers, and ice cream while I get ready for pizza night.

Easy to remove/barely there makeup should be a video, I have to figure out camera position,  woredrobe, and how to do adio/closed captions. The trick is use nothing but powder, and Neutrogena makeup remover towelettes 😉.  Basically, nothing  but some contouring with a bronzer and barely there cut crease with a blush eyeshadow pallet.

Back to the weekend…..

Saturday was Memorial Day at my parents. Dad was off, so he fired up the grill, hubs and I chilled in the pool, ’till food was ready….. I got ANOTHER  cheese burger. This one with gouda cheese!

Notice that I didn’t say we went swimming. I floated in my noodle inner tube, I can somewhat swim with that. Able bodied Nina used to be a little fish. Dom stood around. He doesn’t like the pool, he doesn’t know how to swim, I’m working on it.

Sunday was Memorial Day at Casa Ramos. “We” made tacos, I smoked Half Day Kush, we drank Corazon tequila.  It was a chill night, I think we tried watching a ‘movie’  and I fell asleep.

Monday morning, I was up drinking a bottle of water, and peeing at least 3 times before I harrased Dom to get up, so we could exercise before breakfast.

I have a tricycle, Dom has legs. We get our zone minutes together, yet independently. We start off together,  till I get warmed up, then tell hubby I’ll be back or where I’m heading and take off.

I was waiting by the front door ready to ride out, and I got a text from ma asking if I had coffee to spare. Ma lives a mile away, I told her I’m on my way and yelled for Dom to grab a container.

I don’t trust the bike on uneven tarain, Poinciana drivers, or narrow sidewalks to ride to ma’s house independently, around the neighborhood I’m good.   Crossing Pleasant Hill Road, I need support (physical and emotional). Sometimes, it takes me a minute to get moving, that light changes fast, it’s a 4 lane ‘highway’, when we moved to Florida from Pennsylvania in 1990 Pleasant Hill Road was a 2 lane road!

Monday morning, we set off for ma’s walking/ridding past the last accessible sidewalk entrance.  I’m about to tell Dom I’ll meet you at the light.  I realized I had to be on the narrow ass sidewalk. I told Dom what I realized as I turned to get on the sidewalk. The entrance was uneven,  so I made Dom stand by as I got on it. Recently, the bike tipped, I fell at the end of the driveway as Dom was opening the garage door for me.  So we’re being extra cautious.

We cross the highway, I take off.  But I was going to fast, almost lost it, didn’t well kinda did. If Dom wasn’t there, I would have most likely been stuck for the second time in the grass. Yes, SECOND time. Back wheel went off the narrow sidewalk.

Once we were in the safety of ma’s neighborhood, I told Dom put the container in my bike’s  basket and I’ll go drop it to ma and took off.   Ma was lost in her garden when I arrived, so she didn’t notice me flying by. My average speed is 6 mph. So damn speedy my last name should be Gonzalez. 🤣

Ten minutes later ma saw Dom walking by himself down the street and got confused 😆 , she didn’t realize me saying I’m on my way meant I’d be over on my bike with the goods in my basket.

We started off at about the same speed, I was sitting in the driveway for 15 minutes, easily.   I needed to warm back up.  It didn’t take long, and I was off. “I’ll meet you at the light, papi.”

Crossing the highway and making it home was uneventful.

Getting off the bike would have been a challenge, if I didn’t have a strong man to support me when my legs went to mush. Fitbit was reporting 45 minutes of intense cardio. I did that, it was time for breakfast.

Coffee and back to my Monday- Friday diet.

Fatty foods have yet to cause urgent diarrhea. Of course, I’m the opposite.   Fatty foods retard my system.

This will most likely be my last gallbladder removal recovery update.

Today is 4 weeks post-op, I’m back to exercising cardio and sit-ups, eating what ever my inner fat kid desires (not really, kinda on the weekends), have to add my weights back (tomorrow I have ot, I’ll ask Damion (occupational therapist) to review my home routine since  “we” have a student.
