I haven’t taken pain medicine (Tylenol) since day 3, day 5 was the last day I toke the muscle relaxer the surgeon prescribed (5 days post-op you’ll be taking a muscle relaxer to help healing), currently I only feel max level 3 or 4 pain when I do something strainous (ie cough) otherwise no pain.
I’m able to brush my teeth at the sink. The past four days, I’ve been using cups to brush, leaning towards the sink to spit was too painful.
Tomorrow will be my first outing since surgery. I have my fallow up with the surgeon. Then we’ll make a few stops on the way home, I’ll only get out of the car at the doctor’s and Trulieve to reduce strain of my stomach and ma’s back (getting my chair in and out of the trunk is work)
End of day 6.
Day started early. I had to leave at 8am to get to my 9:30 appointment with Dr. Freeland at Sandlake Commons.
I was able to have an almost independent night besides the pee (urgency incontinence, I have a granny bladder, over active and IC, Interstitial cystitis) emergency at say 2am. But I was and still am able to get in bed independently.
I independently got up and dressed at 7:30 am.
Sorry for rambling. Get to the point, Nina.
Gallbladder was healthy, inflamed, and full of stones but not cancerous, thank God. When I was 11, my Nonna (maternal grandmother) got sick. They thought it was her gallbladder, turned out to be stomach cancer she passed in August 2000. I was 12. She died, and so did my innocents. It was a dark time for me.
That’s not the point, Nina. Cut that shit out.
Gallbladder was healthy, insesions look healthy, and I’m on the mend, continue listening to my body, slowly introduce foods, limit strainous abdominal activities for 3 more weeks. It’s just going to get better from here. Dr. Freeland said it’s safe to cough into my hand (just hold my stomach) and introducing alcohol wouldn’t harm anything. 🙃
Back to occupational therapy on Friday, day 8 post-op. Doc recommended I wait 3 more weeks to go back to pt (physical therapy) so I won’t be limited.
Friday, I’ll schedule my evalu for physical therapy, hopefully with Tina in 3 weeks. Tomorrow, I’ll figure out how to send out email notifications of new post promises. I’ll try if needed, I’ll recruit my IT man, Mr. Ramos.
