Since my last post we’ve broadened then narrowed our search criteria, I’m now open to the possibility of a one bedroom one bath, and I’m no longer “excited” about a condo with an exclusive HOA, and we need a yard with outside storage.

I have a (adult) tricycle and Dom will be getting a bicycle. I love how Dom says bicycle. See he grew up in Lakeland, an he has “that Polk County twang”.

Back to the offer!

So I wrapped up my week on Thursday with an ot (occupational therapy) appointment with Nhyra (Damion’s replacement) and me discussing weekend plans of hoping to tour a property, a 3 bedroom 1 bath that ma found on Zillow that has recently been price cut by 10k. So they’ll be room to negotiate a price that we’ll be able to afford major renovation, or so we thought 🙄.

Long story short, (let’s see if I can do this):

Dom and I toured the house that’s on the cutest avenue with our realtor Shawn Harris. we videoed my parents and showed them the modifications that would need to be made to make the place accessible, we set an offer price $170,000 this is when Shawn informed us that he spoke to the seller, they told Shawn the seller was willing to sell for 140k, that’s what we offered. It turns out the seller confused the addresses, and quoted next door. So our offer was declined and we have appointments, and we’re bringing ma to see the house we made an offer on, next door and a house a street over.

I did it, that was a short story!

Now some details:

As we pulled up to the 3/1, I hear King George- Keep on Rollin playing! That’s my ringtone! I took this as a sign that the blue house with the carport, was meant for us. If they took our offer of 140k we’d definitely have room in our budget to make major renovations: the bathroom needs to be bigger and accessible, which would turn a bedroom into an office (the closest in the bedroom will be apart of the bathroom now), the driveway needs to be leveled, I’lll need 2 ramps, and there’s this stupid little wall separating the kitchen from the living/dinning area, I want that knocked out and a breakfast bar on that counter. The last 3 are DIY projects dad and Dom could handle. Dad has a sleg hammer, and handyman knowledge. Dom has YouTube and uncle Mike’s number (dad’s brother who’s a contractor) in case dad doesn’t know something 🤫.

When I sent that property to my day one Indie, Dom and I’s wife (Best friend,who was my maid of honor, she noticed as my dad and I walked the aisle I kept stepping on my dress, so of course when it was time for us to walk away as a married couple Indie was there holding my dress.) she sent me a 4 bedroom in that same area that that was just too cute with a country style front porch to ask if we saw that one. I noticed that one has potential of being easily accessible, it is over 200 square feet bigger than the 3 bedroom.

Now we have the opportunity to check out the 4/1 wifey sent me, the 3 bedroom we put the offer on, and the one bedroom. Ready to make an offer. 🙏🏼
