Saturday my mother in law hosted a cookout for her old daughter Nyla’s 12th birthday.
Cookouts are NOT wheelchair accessible.
We should have thought of my current swelling situation, and planned accordingly.
So instead of parking in the front and walking through the house we thought it’d be a better idea to park in the backyard so I’d be closer to the cookout.
We didn’t think it would have been better if we started with a walk through the house….. I needed to empty my bladder, nooo we park on back half of the yard, which made the house inaccessible cause of a dip/ditch/hill.
Long story short….
Dom told me he was thinking if we were to (walk back to the car) repark it in the front, then walk through the house, that side of the yard would be better.
Sounds like a good idea, huh? It wasn’t. By the time I got to the car my skin was about to break down from the rubbing the swelling created.
So….we had to head home, I wasn’t able to walk anymore.
I wasn’t able to take my shoe off till after we stopped at CVS so I could use the restroom before we hit the highway.

I knew once I took it off the swelling would spread and there’d be no way I’d get them back on.
Saturday night was bad…..feet were on fire and left foot kept cramping up.
Sunday was a day of recovery.
Monday I cleaned the bathroom, Tuesday I washed my hair, Wednesday I had an appointment with my PCP for my Medicare annual, the doctor wrote me a script for another round of Prednisone, same steroids the er prescribed, Thursday I did some tiding up, today, Friday I was extra uncoordinated and clumsy, so I didn’t get fancy…. just NYX Lip IV and TIGI Bed Head Manipulator Texturizing Putty.
No more cookouts for Nina, till we figure out what’s going on with my foot….. Oh yeah on Thursday I have a nerve conduction test. Dr. Mamun needs that to dyignose or rule out complex reginal pain syndrome.
Another syndrome….
