Update from Dr. Mamun

Update from Dr. Mamun

Dr. Mamun told me to research left lumbar sympathetic block under fluoroscopic guidance, that’ll be the next step in my care plan. I see him again on October 6th, till then I’ve been instructed to take 50 mg of Pregabalin every night till I see him. Back in July I was taking 25mg, it did nothing but make me drowsy, this go around, I’m drowsy to the point I don’t trust my transfers, almost fell, and hit the floor hard, twice today and it’s making me hella nauseous……2 more weeks.

A lumbar sympathetic block is a (nother) diagnostic and therapeutic procedure for CRPS.

I’m not sure if I’ve officially been diagnosed or if MyChart still says possible. He wrote me a pt referral with CRPS listed as a condition …….

Back story, in case you haven’t been following

all I can say is…..HOW RUDE lol

I’m ’bout to take y’all back, way back

December 2006:

this happened

I injured my brain stem and fractured multiple bones: C2, jaw, clavicle, check/face and pelvis, internal bleeding: had to have spleen removed was in a coma for almost 4 months.

I spent most of my 20s learning how to live with a TBI.

2017: When I was 29 I met my person.

2021: He asked me to marry him AND I walked down the isle on a freshly fused ankle. We got married 4 months after I had my ankle fused and I walked all night.

2024: Cue the pain, I swear it started in my left hip…..they tell me that’s not physically possible. Then tell me why, the injections for my hip arthritis WAS effecting my nerve pain and swelling.

2025: BOTH feet burn when I lay down, hip injection still offering some short lived relief evert 6 months. Summer 2025, I was doing good walking all the time, being productive, really finding my vibe, then I had my thumb fixed I wasn’t able to use my walker while recovering from that surgery…..that fucked my stamina.

February 2026: All the pain started to affect my health (blood pressure was HIGH, too high for therapy, so they discharged me till I get my shit in order.

March 2026: Ma was telling Dr. Mullner (the doctor who dose my ultrasound guided hip injections) about my symptoms and he sent me for ANOTHER MRI, but this time I had it reviewed by Dr. Mamun, who Mullner recommended, he’s a spine pain management doctor, the first doctor to look past a clean MRI. My symptoms scream CRPS! It took him to recognize that your girl “possibly” has CRPS2. CRPS2 is my brain trying to over heal my fused ankle. Damn broken brain.
